Closure (2022) is an eight-minute poetic documentary filmed, edited and directed by Ebtesam Mokhtar. The short premiered at the Cairo International Short Film Festival, where Ebtesam was nominated for the Aziza Amir Award (Arab Women Voice in Film). The film also won the Best Sound Design Award from the Visions Cairo Egyptian Short Film Festival.
The project was developed and produced within the Creative Documentary Workshop organized by Between Women Filmmakers Caravan, which Ebtesam joined later as program coordinator, selection committee and English-Arabic translator.
