Co-founding the website and managing the business in Cairo as well as being the Managing Editor throughout its very first year online |
| Deliverables/Duties |
- recruited, trained and supervised the work of the whole content team, including editors, writers, translators, proofreaders and others.
- helped mapping the website and named its categories, tags and more.
- wrote the editorial guidelines and planned the monthly editorial calendar.
- edited original and translated articles and reviewed all texts before publishing.
- held monthly meetings with the translators for feedback and guidelines updates.
- held regular one-on-one meetings with all team members for two-way feedback.
- supervised all content matters including SEO best practices and social media copies.
- managed Manshoor office in Cairo and coordinated third party trainings for the team.
- worked with fellow co-founders on business plans and communicated goals to the team.
